INSTRUCTIONS:

The idea is for everyone to contribute a room to the house (using collage, drawings/paintings etc), keeping one copy for themselves and send out copies to the other participants where the final thing would end up in a book format.

Paper size: (please cut all copies to the specified size below)-
Width = 200.0 mm Length = 250.0 mm * 2

This project is opened to all Crust Station readers, but I have to limit the number of participants to 12
(after all, I do not have the planning permission to build a mansion)!

Once we have confirmed participants, I will allocate rooms to each individual and we will work to a loose template.
Obviously we all have to collaborate to make this happen, all rooms are important - we can’t have a house without a bathroom or kitchen now can we? (^ - ^)

FAQ:
*
Scale for a paperdoll of 17 x5 cm
* A total of 13 copies
of your room (keeping a copy for yourself) on papers size: 200 mm* 250 mm (you should fill two side-by-side to complete one room) - this is slightly smaller than the standard US letter size (216 × 279 mm), so you’ll have to trim it to size.
* Choose a heavier grade paper like 100g -120g.

Your room should be spread over 2 papers (leave them unbound to enable final assembly in a book format by the individual). It is up to the individuals if they want to make 13 originals, but should look as close to ‘identical’ as possible- colour photocopies are recommended.
* Little flaps for doors and windows can be incorporated, I will send out emails to each participant regarding this.
* Everyone is responsible for making their own photocopies for sending to the other participants in the group [for self assembly in book form]. If anyone have problems with postage, let me know (I’ll organise it so that everyone sends me their copies to assemble then return assembled dollshouse to you complete) -If everyone decides that the second option is better, I am fine with that too.
This project is about creativity- any mixed media can be used ie. fabrics, drawings, sewing as long as it is 2D. Above all, have fun!!

There is no rush for the project and building work can begin at a leisurely pace,
I am at hand for any questions in between. Work should be completed by 31st July 2007, End of August.
