Naoshi

naoshi1.jpgNaoshi from Japan creates adorable pictures using a technique called ‘Sunae’-sand picture. Coloured sand is sprinkled onto cut shapes on sticky paper (she’s even included a tutorial on her site), enjoy. (source: liliconfetti)

They remind me of treasures I used to oogle over at the carnival as a child.. All of this art with colorful sand…I am so dad, it seems I have missed a bit here! I have just been so swamped. But, I just adore my visits to your lovely abode!!

When I was a child we used to go to the Isle of Wight where they sold coloured sand in little bottles. I collected them and now have no idea where they were. I wonder if they still do them. Great post, thanks
