nocandy.jpgFawn Gehweiler‘s signature characters combine the influence of storybook theme parks, eccentrics and garden parties, alpine kitsch, vintage childrens books, and a long-standing obsession with otherworldly beauties such as Shelley Duvall, Twiggy, Pippi Longstocking, Vera Chytilova’s Daisies, and the wispy Parisiennes of Igor Pantuhoff paintings, and emerge out of the kind of dreamy nostalgia that only little girls of the 70’s can create. Fawn’s work has exhibited in galleries around the world, appears regularly in art and design books, and has been commissioned for a number of fashion features and collections.
