Sanna Annukka (half Finnish | half English) is an illustrator and printmaker with a love for nature and folklore. Sanna spent many summers throughout childhood in Paltaniemi, a village in Finland, swimming and fishing in Oulujärvi and exploring the forests. She also travelled to Lapland, camping by artic rivers enjoying the midnight sun. Sanna’s summers in Finland hold some of her fondest memories and inspires her artwork heavily. Another major influence is Finland’s national epic, The Kalevala, a collection of folklore songs which she finds quite magical.
