‘At first, the Basement posed a difficult challenge –
how do people utilise such a space?
The idea was planted when a fellow house-builder directed me to Amir Fallah’s fort series. I realised that this room could be anything I wanted it to be…so I set out giving the room a fantasy theme (if you look closely on the wall, there’s a monster lurking in the bushes).
For furnishings, I added hammocks and lighting sculptures from aqua creations, swatch portraits, and the popular ‘keep calm‘ poster.’
* Don’t worry, this room will be in the post to team-members shortly.
very imaginitive. that poor unsuspecting little girl
i love it! so much to look at – perfect for a basement…the homes in Australia rarely have basements but id imagine it to be a place to store lots of things!
Love this basement! Feels so warm and cozy.
Those leaf hammocks are wondeful!
your basement looks amazing

I love the colors you used – your basement is fabulous!!
you´re too polite for not mentioning that I passed on the most difficult room to you ;)
Beautiful colour palette, and every basement needs some undergrowth bursting through.
Perfect!
love your basement. i don’t ever remember uttering those words before… but this one is marvelous.
