Rébecca Dautremer was born in 1971 in Gap in the South of France
(Hautes Alpes). {interview}![]()
She attended classes in the ENSAD of Paris and got a degree in graphic edition in 1995. She afterwards became a graphic editor and illustrator. A few years ago, she started to write books of her own. Now living in Paris with her husband Taï-Marc Lethanh and their three children, she also works for the press for children (Milan-Presse and Fleurus-Presse), school publishers, and in advertising.Rébecca’s recipe is : warm colours and precise drawings. Her books are a real success for children between 3 and 11 years old.

today bought the PRINCESSES book.it is lovely!the style, the words,the pictures! I have seen something similar but in Ukraine.There is Ukrainian artist Eugenia Gapchinska.www.gapart.com

I saw this book (princesses) whilst on holiday in Rome and have been trying to find it in english ever since. Only just got this new fangled internet thing which has opened up a whole new minefield.

I own a small eclectic bookshop, while in Paris and Madrid I bought everything Rebecca has published in both languages. I just wish I could find them in english!!(I have been trying!!)

i have just discovered the book with the princesses and cyrano, translated in greek language.
i was totally fascinated and bought them both.
probably one of the best illustrators of books!

I received a gift of a calendar in 2005 by Rebecca Dautremer and have been trying to replace it ever since, any ideas if she still makes them, or where I could get one. It’s still hanging up!! I love it.
